Firebird Design Works is a graphic design and digital media company located in Grand County, Colorado. We provide design services for a variety of products including websites, logos, brochures, business cards, rack cards, online listings, social media and marketing plans. Our services also include training lessons and workshops for website management, social media profiles and Adobe software.

Our History

Firebird Design Works was started in 2004 by Tina Wilson, publisher of Grand County Living Magazine, originally called Blueprint Magazine, Nordic Ski Colorado, the official cross country skiing guide for Colorado, and Dine & Play Winter Park, a guide to food, fun activities and money saving coupons. Lisa Bornfriend, an employee since 2007, acquired Firebird Design Works in 2016 becoming the new owner. As long-term county residents, we understand what it takes to have a successful company in the valley.

Meet Our Owner

Lisa Bornfriend is the owner, graphic designer, and web developer at Firebird Design Works. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts in Graphic Design, with a minor in Photography, and has been in the design industry since 2003 when she started her freelance business, Bornfriend Design. Lisa interned with the Nashville Predators NHL team in 2006, where she learned to be a team player and stay on top of new trends. She moved to Winter Park, Colorado from Nashville, TN in 2007. In an effort to be on the leading edge of design, she attends seminars and studies several top design publications. Lisa enjoys her free time by hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, playing disc golf, rafting, snowboarding, and cross country skiing. She expands her creativity through painting and adult coloring books. Lisa is also a yoga teacher at Mountain Moon Yoga in Winter Park.
