Our History

Founded in 1989, Digitype Design started as a small operation in a spare bedroom with a couple of computers dedicated to desktop publishing. Through strategic acquisitions and relocation to downtown Portland, Digitype Design broadened its client base and evolved with the imaging industry. Our expansion into large format imaging in 1995, coupled with our ability to link substrate material options with customer marketing goals, solidified our position as an industry leader.
