About Our Founder
April Smith, the founder and president of Social Ape Marketing, has over 12 years of experience in marketing. April founded the company in 2012, driven by a desire to help small and medium-sized businesses understand the benefits of social media marketing. Before starting Social Ape, April worked as the Social Media Manager at ESPNU, creating content and interacting with sports fans on social media. She holds a degree from Radford University and has lived in Charlotte, NC since 2007. April is an avid hot yoga enthusiast, loves trying new restaurants, and enjoys traveling.
